INDEFI – International Delegates on Filtration

The first World Filtration Congress, held in 1974, was informally coordinated by a number of individual organizations, each acting independently. In 1990, INDEFI (International Delegates on Filtration) was created as an umbrella body to coordinate and widen the competition to organize future Congresses. The next World Filtration Congress WFC10 will be staged April 14-18, 2008 in Leipzig, Germany.

Proposals to host a future WFC Congress are accepted only from registered Members of INDEFI and the applying organization must provide evidence that the organizing team has the experience and resources to stage a major world conference.

Membership of INDEFI is open to Filtration Societies that have the science and technology of filtration and separation as their principal activity. Only one member is permitted per country. At present there are nine Member Filtration Societies. Societies who are interested in applying for membership to INDEFI should indicate their principle activities in filtration and separation as well as their membership and contact Dr. Harald Anlauf, University of Karlsruhe, Germany, Chairman of INDEFI from April 2004 to April 2008, indefi@wfc10.org.
